Boating Safety

Neighbors 4 Neighbors is proud to partner with the The Monica Burguera Foundation (MBF) in conjunction with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary offers FREE boating safety classes as a public service for the local community. Since September 2010, more than 4,000 students have successfully completed the program and been awarded the USCG Auxiliary Certificate of Accomplishment and a Florida Boating Safety Identification card, which is required to operate a boat for people born on or after January 1, 1988.

8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Individuals who successfully complete the program and exam are awarded USCG Auxiliary Certificate of Accomplishment and the Florida Boater’s ID. The ID is required to operate a vessel for persons born after or on January 1st 1988. (Many insurance companies will offer 10 – 15% discounts on boat insurance to individuals who present their Certificate.) Classes funded by Monica Burguera Foundation.
