Program description: At Branches, we focus on serving low income families and help them
and their children become better educated and more financially stable in the
long term. Our kids come to us every day after school. Although we do help our
students with homework, tutoring and so much more, we also provide enrichment
activities and activities such as sports to allow our students to get away from
their daily struggles. Playing sports is
always a favorite among our students but sometimes they are not able to play
their favorite sport because we do not have the proper equipment or we do not
have enough for them. Serving 425 youth

Program description:
Miami Bridge is utilized by the community as the axis point of all
Miami-Dade County efforts in dealing with kids in crisis who are runaways,
truant, homeless or having issues at home. In Miami-Dade County, we are the only
emergency home serving kids ages 10 to 17. At the Bridge, we provide a full
range of services including in-shelter counseling, field trips, in-home
counseling and reunification with family.

Program description:
The Motivational Edge's Health & Wellness Initiative empowers youth to participate in a wide range of physical and mindful activities that are fun, engaging, challenging, and rewarding. Through dance, martial arts, yoga, and team sports, youth in this program will develop an enthusiasm for health and fitness that will last a lifetime, equipping them to succeed both in the classroom and in their communities. The Initiative includes a nutrition education component, providing mindfulness training and guidance on the importance of maintaining a healthy diet, choosing healthy foods, and preparing healthy snacks. Youth learn critical and foundational movement skills, which are the building blocks for physical and mental activity, as well as develop skills needed to be successful in life through Social Skills, Discipline, Teamwork, Leadership, Respect, and a sense of Self-Worth. Serving ages 6-23, about 500 youth in total.
