Kindness Cards
There's a moment every day when someone shows there is still good in the world, through committing an act of kindness that often goes seem to go unnoticed. Kindness Cards give you a way to let them know their act was noticed, and that you appreciated it.
An act of kindness can be as simple as helping someone get an item from a high shelf at the grocery store, to offering a cold bottle of water on a hit day to the landscaper in your neighborhood.
Neighbors4Neighbors is teaming with BankAtlantic and the libraries of Miami-Dade and Broward counties to find artwork for new Kindness cards, and we'd like your child to help us being a little more kindness to the world!
Your child can have his or her artwork featured on our Kindness Cards, to be distributed throughtout Miami-Dade and Broward County, as well as enjoying a youth bank account at BankAtlantic, complete with a starting deposit of $100!
Here's How!
- Visit any Miami-Dade or Broward Library, where you can register for the Summer Reading Program is now underway, or any BankAtlantic branch in Miami-Dade or Broward county.
- Pick up an entry form and artwork card for the Kindness Card contest.
- Have your child draw his or her entry, using any art medium suitable for reproduction, showing appreciation or thanks for an act of kindness. Have fun! Be creative!
- A parent or legal guardian needs to complete the registration portion, and return it to a library branch or a BankAtlantic store.
- After judges take a preliminary look at the entries, the top 5 in each category will be placed online so the community can vote for their favorites.
- The entries with the most fans will win!
