ADOPT A FAMILY

We are thrilled to share that our Adopt-A-Family program for 2024 has successfully closed, with only 35 families remaining unadopted. This remarkable achievement is all thanks to the generosity and kindness of donors like you!

While the program has wrapped up for this year, there’s still an opportunity to make a difference. By making a donation, you can continue spreading joy and supporting families in need. Every contribution, no matter the size, creates a meaningful impact and brings hope to our community.

ADOPT A FAMILY

For the past 32 years, the Neighbors 4 Neighbors' Adopt A Family 4 the Holidays Program has been a cherished tradition in South Florida, marking the highlight of the season!

Neighbors 4 Neighbors collaborates with over 40 local non-profit partners to support the families enrolled in our program. Together, we create a one-of-a-kind holiday gift-giving experience.

What sets our program apart is the personal connection you get to establish with the family or families you choose to adopt. You have the opportunity to meet them in person and personally deliver the gifts!

By working alongside our non-profit partners, you can rest assured that your assistance will provide these families with a holiday experience they might not have otherwise. It's a chance to bring joy not only to them but also to yourself.

Our collective impact is truly remarkable!

Here's how it all works:

  • REGISTER: Click the button above to Register to Adopt. Then, browse through family profiles to select one or more families to adopt 4 the Holidays. You can search for families by zip code, family size, non-profit agency, or family special needs.
  1. ADOPT: Once you select your family to ADOPT, the family’s caseworker will contact YOU and share the family’s gift list, as well as provide their contact information. 
  2. GIFT: Then, YOU can purchase gifts for the chosen family and coordinate with them and their caseworker to deliver gifts! The uniqueness of the Adopt A Family Program is that you can meet the family you adopted in person! 

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, last year we were able to bring joy to 696 families, comprising 2,888 individuals. We collectively donated $500,000 to families in need during the last holiday season!

This year, we are thrilled to have partnered with Amazon, to make an even greater impact in 2024!

OPERATION ELF

We recognize that not everyone may have the means to personally adopt a family for the holidays. That's why,
through our Operation Elf Program, generously presented by Cemex and Regions, we collect monetary donations. These funds are then utilized to purchase gift cards, extending the holiday spirit to families unable to partake in our one-on-one adoption program.

In close collaboration with our partner agencies, we identify those families facing the greatest need. Together, we unite to ensure that these families experience the best Christmas possible. Every contribution, regardless of its size, makes a meaningful difference

TOY DRIVE

Besides our Adopt A Family 4 the Holidays and Operation Elf Programs, we're making it easy for you to spread joy this season by collecting brand-new, unwrapped toys at various locations across South Florida!

This year, we've teamed up with Graham Companies to uphold the tradition of the Toy Drive during the 39th Annual Main Street Festival of Lights. All the toys gathered during this event will go to Giving Gators, a local Miami Lakes charity.

We’ve also partnered with PLA IT FORWARD to host a toy collections at their South Florida location in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino ! We would like to invite YOU to join us in spreading holiday cheer by donating toys. These contributions will directly benefit children in need across South Florida. Check out the drop off locations below. Last day to donate toys is Dec. 13th.
