While adoptions are closed for this season, you can still help. We are serving families not eligible for a one-on-one adoption with gift cards, so that they may get something for themselves.

Please consider donating today and we’ll spread the joy on your behalf.

For the past 33 years, Neighbors 4 Neighbors' Adopt A Family 4 the Holidays Program has been a cherished tradition in South Florida, marking the highlight of the season!

Neighbors 4 Neighbors collaborates with over 40 local non-profit partners to support the families enrolled in our program. Together, we create a one-of-a-kind holiday gift-giving experience.

What sets our program apart is the personal connection you get to establish with the family or families you choose to adopt. You have the opportunity to meet them in person and personally deliver the gifts!

By working alongside our non-profit partners, you can rest assured that your assistance will provide these families with a holiday experience they might not have otherwise. It's a chance to bring joy not only to them but also to yourself.

Our collective impact is truly remarkable!

Here's how it all works:

REGISTER: Click the button above to Register to Adopt. Then, browse through family profiles to select one or more families to adopt 4 the Holidays. You can search for families by zip code, family size, non-profit agency, or family special needs.

ADOPT: Once you select your family to ADOPT, the family’s caseworker will contact YOU and share the family’s gift list, as well as provide their contact information.
GIFT: Then, YOU can purchase gifts for the chosen family and coordinate with them and their caseworker to deliver gifts! The uniqueness of the Adopt A Family Program is that you can meet the family you adopted in person!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, last year we were able to bring joy to 643 families, comprising 2,700 individuals. We collectively donated $500,000 to families in need during the last holiday season!

This year, we are thrilled to have partnered with Amazon to make an even greater impact in 2025!

OPERATION ELF

We recognize that not everyone may have the means to personally adopt a family for the holidays. That's why, through our Operation Elf Program, we collect monetary donations. These funds are then utilized to purchase gift cards, extending the holiday spirit to families unable to partake in our one-on-one adoption program.

In close collaboration with our partner agencies, we identify those families facing the greatest need. Together, we unite to ensure that these families experience the best Christmas possible. Every contribution, regardless of its size, makes a meaningful difference.

This year, we’re shaking things up! You can make a difference and enjoy an unforgettable day of college basketball! The first 40 people to donate $100 to Operation Elf will receive two premium tickets to the Orange Bowl Basketball Classic on Saturday, December 13th at the Amerant Bank Arena.

TOY DRIVE

This holiday season, we’re teaming up with the Graham Companies, All My Sons Moving & Storage and Junk.com to
collect and deliver toys for Giving Gators, an incredible organization dedicated to helping school-aged children
thrive by providing the tools and essentials they need for success.

You can help make the season brighter by dropping off new, unwrapped toys at any of the participating Miami Lakes
locations listed below. Together, we can bring smiles, joy, and opportunity to children who deserve a little extra
cheer this year.

For the past 34 years, the Neighbors 4 Neighbors' Adopt A Family 4 the Holidays Program has been a cherished tradition in South Florida, marking the highlight of the season!

And last year, our community made history. In a powerful sign of hope, every single family in our Adopt-A-Family program was adopted, 485 families and 1,851 individuals total, something we haven't seen in over six years.

Working hand-in-hand with our incredible partner agencies, we identify the families facing the greatest need this season. Together, we make sure they experience the magic of the holidays, because every family deserves a little joy.
