Do you know that many kids in our community have never known the excitement of dressing up for Halloween?

Families are struggling to cover basic needs, with no money left over for the Halloween fun so many of us enjoyed as kids.

Neighbors 4 Neighbors partners with other local non-profit to serve families in need throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County. If you have gently worn costumes for kids (from toddlers through teens), we know kids who want them!

You can get your family, co-workers, and friends involved in making Halloween a little more fun for low-income families in our community.

Here are the steps to successfully coordinate your Halloween Costume Drive

• Select the dates of your drive. We ask that donations be delivered or ready for pick up by October 20th.  Some of our donors like to meet the kids being served, and choose to deliver the costumes to the receiving organization. If you need pick up, please make sure you let us know when you fill out the Google Participant Form linked in the email.

• Advertise! Once you fill out and return the Participant Form, you can use the flyer attached to the email to promote your effort. You can share the flyer on Social Media, display the flyer in public areas such as front desk, break room, classroom, or neighborhood community center, and send out an email to spread the word to as many people as possible. People like to be informed about ways they can help especially for the holidays!

• Set up a drop-off point. Be sure to place a collection box/container where people can see it. We do not provide you with a box or container. Past participants have gone to stores/wholesalers and have asked for donated boxes that they have decorated themselves with wrapping paper. Be creative!

• Collect, Collect, Collect! The hard part is over and it’s time for you to sit back and watch your group come together to help those less fortunate. After your costumes drive is complete, please fill out the attached donor form so we can recognize you and your group for participating in Neighbors 4 Neighbors Operation: Candy Corn.

• Share the spirit! We would love to share photos of your drive on our website, e-newsletter, and social media. Please send us photos of your team, your decorated box, etc. You can find us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
